As Great As Always With The 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe

For those of you who have been following Gearheads.org, I would like to say two things. Thank you for the support, and remember the, “Definition of Swag” Cadillac article? Well in this particular go round we’re going to look at the CTS’s little brother the ATS.

In the last segment, “Cadillac CTS V-Sport, The Concise explanation of Swag” we talked about Gearheads.orghow Cadillac was continuing it’s tireless journey of letting everyone know that, “We are here, we are strong, and we ain’t taking shit from nobody! You receive the gist of what I’m saying, though !” Well not in those words exactly. Nevertheless, the Cadillac name continues to be popping up every know, and again with either something really new that we all love, or anything even newer, and we’re all like, “Didn’t we merely see the new version of that 3 weeks ago? ” Well, in the event you remember my last statement in the CTS V-Sport piece, I claimed that if Cadillac can make a better version from the CTS, why not come up with a hotter version of the ATS? Why not a Coupe even, therefore said, so done. (Simply so you know, We have no real ties to Cadillac, and what they do, if I did, I’d really be rich right now! !)

So, here we now have the 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe. It provides it’s own DNA so to speak, even though it resembles the $75,000 Cadillac ELR. As it stands the 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe continues to be made with the only purpose of uniting two keywords and phrases that explain what is truly going with this marvelous car. Power, and Efficiency. The two key elements are what makes this car this kind of formidable foe, to the likes of the new BMW 4 Series.

Cadillac-ATS_Coupe_2015_3 To begin, whilst keeping it basic, the ATS Coupe is Cadillac’s lightest compact coupe/car ever made. It has a near perfect 50/50 weight split, and what makes it better may be the drive train. This coupe will be tearing up the roads in either it’s RWD configuration, or it’s AWD set up. Now underneath the hood from the ATS is really a 2turbocharged and 0L, direct injected engine that makes 275Hp, and around 295lb feet of torque to the wheels, and just keep in mind that you can get it in RWD, (The Elegant Drifter), or maybe in AWD, (The Savvy Racer). Ground control comes from the means of those patented, awesome magnetic ride shocks that were catapulting GM in front of other manufacturers by leaps, and bounds. Add to that, the five link independent rear suspension, and the multi-link, double pivot, MacPhearson strut front end assembly. And ground control segment are an ultra sexy set of 18” wheels, and tires that simply bring a tear to the eye, because they’re so damn hot, completing the suspension.

Moving right along to the interior of the ATS, and man let me tell you it doesn’t disappoint by any means whatsoever! Being that the is Cadillac’s first lightweight coupe that Cadillac-ATS_Coupe_2015_1WILL be going after the foreign market, as well as being the White Collar Billy Bad Ass in the block, the inside doesn’t really come with a standard look. You will possess the Alcantara Aluminum, Leather and Suede and Carbon Fiber finishes, but the thing Cadillac wanted to make accessible to its customers was, having a true to make bespoke feel to the ATS Coupe. Anyone that wants an ATS Coupe, will be privileged to sit down before a screen, and not only choose in which the accents go, but what type of feel you desire your ATS to have. The Bespoke feature even go as far as channeling the inner Zen of a the operator, and how they would like to feel every single time the sit in driver’s seat. To add to that level of bespoke quality, the CUE infotainment system has been upgraded, with better controls, more simple to use features, along with a kick ass 12 speaker Bose, surround sound audio system.

To wrap this up, we need to consider the exterior of the 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe. Normally the majority of people start with the way a car looks first, however, if you don’t like the way it looks from jump street, then why would you bother to stick around for the rest? After all who buys an ugly car since it can go fast? That’s like picking the girl who looks like your aunt Vivian after a bender, because her morals, and virtues are totally pure, and wholesome. Not every time that works fellas. Anyway, the outside is full of sharp lines, and edges which simply drop off into either smooth curves or blinding LEDs. If it car is really fast, or does it just look that way, the front fascia is all business with a bit of a smirk inside that begs the mind to wonder? Being that this really is a 2 door, you would expect that this model would be shorter than the sedan, and you would be wrong because notion. The coupe rides on the exact same 109 inch wheelbase because the sedan, and all of that space is utilized from front to back. Window lines are subtle, and flow effortlessly, from end to terminate. Besides missing the wide stance in the CTS-V Coupe, the ATS comes in just like the before picture of a Cadillac Slim Fast commercial. slender, sexy, Skinny and demure and in the mean time nimble since many German cars after they’ve been tinkered with by the aftermarket community.

This ATS Coupe is merely Bad Ass, and there’s no getting around the truth that this car will be looking for schnitzel pretty damn soon. It’ll just be a matter of time before the ATS Coupe is viewed on the Nurburgring putting down some serious lap times, and looking stunning in the process. This ATS Coupe is car that will, and will be taken very seriously. Now let’s just check if Cadillac heard me once i said an ATS Wagon might not be such a bad idea to be had at the same time.
