Lexus LFA Is Still An Amazing Supercar 10 Years Later

Jeremy Clarkson famously said that the Lexus LFA is the best car he has ever driven, and this means a lot considering that it comes from someone who has had the opportunity to jump behind the wheel of some of the most expensive, fast and exclusive vehicles ever made (and made some scathing remarks for a few of them).

The Japanese exotic machine recently blew 10 candles off its birthday cake, with Lexus celebrating its anniversary by reminding enthusiasts about some of the LFA’s achievements.

MotorsportMagazine recently released a short but exciting video that highlights the performance of the LFA. Not only did they record the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph), 0-200 km/h (0-124 mph) and standing kilometer (0.6-mile) times, but they also put on a smoky show by driving it sideways on a closed course.

Officially, the LFA was capable of hitting the 62 mph (100 km/h) mark in just 3.7 seconds, and it would eventually max out at 202 mph (325 km/h). Power was supplied by a naturally aspirated 4.8-liter V10 which developed 560 HP at 8,700 rpm. The mill was created in partnership with Yamaha and channeled the thrust to the rear wheels via a six-speed sequential transmission. Production of the LFA was capped at 500 units.

Review: 2019 Lexus UX250h Is Edgy, Efficient And Engaging

The 2021 UX 250h Black Line can be had with the all-new Grecian Water paint finish, or in Eminent White Pearl or Caviar. It sports a black grille surround, black side mirror caps and roof rails, darkened headlights, color-keyed overfenders and 18-inch wheels with black looks and black lug nuts.

The interior of the small premium SUV has been enhanced with the Black or Birch NuLuxe upholstery, to go with blue trim and seat belts. This special contrast can also be found on the cargo and floor mats, and on the key gloves. Elsewhere, the model is nicely specced, with a standard heated steering wheel, auto-dimming rearview mirror, wireless charging pad for compatible smartphones, a windshield de-icer, power tailgate and a park assist function.

The vehicle’s final bespoke feature comes from Zero Halliburton and is a two-piece luggage set, with a 22-inch carry-on and a 26-inch travel case. It sports a distinctive laser-etched ‘Zero Halliburton for Lexus’ badge, has exclusive interior lining with the Lexus grille motif and the automaker’s logo embossed into the leather. The luggage set will be shipped to customers at their preferred address.
